Subscription Policy

1. Overview
This Subscription Policy governs all paid subscription plans and platform fees charged by CryptoState (“CryptoState,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By purchasing a subscription or incurring platform fees, you agree to the terms of this policy, which is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.
We aim to be transparent and fair in all billing matters. If you have any questions about charges or need help with your subscription, contact us at billing@cryptostate.io.
2. Plans and Features
2.1 Free Plan
All registered users have access to the Free plan at no cost. The Free plan includes:
- Browse all active property listings in the Hub
- View Crypto Investor Demand Score on each listing
- Basic score breakdown for demand analysis
- Save listings to your account
- Contact agents (sign-in required)
- Submit one active listing (agent accounts)
2.2 Pro Plan
The Pro plan is a paid monthly subscription that unlocks enhanced platform capabilities. The Pro plan includes everything in the Free plan, plus:
- Full AI score breakdown with detailed demand signals
- Access to all current and future AI tools as they are released
- Priority listing placement (where applicable)
- Multiple active listings (agent accounts)
- Advanced analytics on your listings
- Early access to new platform features
Pro plan pricing is displayed at checkout and on the pricing page. CryptoState reserves the right to update plan features and pricing with reasonable notice as described in Section 8 of this policy.
2.3 Feature Availability
CryptoState is an early-stage platform under active development. Features listed above represent current or planned capabilities. Some features may be in beta or not yet fully available. We do not guarantee that any specific feature will be available at any particular time, and features may be added, modified, or removed as the platform evolves.
3. Billing and Payment
3.1 Billing Cycle
Pro subscriptions are billed on a monthly recurring basis. Your billing cycle begins on the date you first subscribe. Each subsequent charge occurs on the same calendar date each month (or the last day of the month if your start date does not exist in a given month).
3.2 Automatic Renewal
Your Pro subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize CryptoState and its payment processor (Stripe) to charge your payment method automatically on each renewal date.
3.3 Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods through our payment processor, Stripe:
- Major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
- Additional methods as made available by Stripe in your region
We do not accept cryptocurrency as payment for platform subscriptions at this time. This policy may be updated in the future.
3.4 Payment Security
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. CryptoState does not store your full card number, CVV, or banking credentials. We retain only a Stripe customer ID and the last four digits of your card for billing reference purposes.
3.5 Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you by email and may retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected after reasonable attempts, your Pro subscription will be downgraded to the Free plan and access to Pro features will be suspended until payment is resolved. You will not lose your account or data as a result of a failed payment.
3.6 Platform Transaction Fees
In addition to subscription fees, CryptoState charges a 1% platform fee on real estate transactions facilitated through the platform where CryptoState's infrastructure is used. This fee is:
- Calculated on the agreed transaction value at the time of deal execution
- Separate from any subscription fees, agent commissions, escrow fees, or blockchain network fees
- Non-refundable once a transaction has been executed
- Subject to change with notice as described in Section 8
4. Free Trial
CryptoState may from time to time offer a free trial period for the Pro plan. If a free trial is offered to you:
- You will not be charged during the trial period
- At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid Pro subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends
- Free trials are available to new subscribers only — one per person or entity
- CryptoState reserves the right to modify or discontinue free trial offers at any time
If a free trial is offered, the duration and any restrictions will be clearly stated at the time of enrollment.
5. Cancellation
5.1 How to Cancel
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through one of the following methods:
- Through your account settings on the platform (Billing → Manage Subscription)
- By emailing billing@cryptostate.io with your account email and cancellation request
5.2 When Cancellation Takes Effect
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain full access to Pro features until that date. We do not pro-rate or refund partial months for mid-cycle cancellations except as set out in the refund policy below.
5.3 After Cancellation
After your paid period ends, your account reverts to the Free plan. Your account, listings, and saved data are not deleted. You can re-subscribe at any time. You will not be charged again unless you choose to re-subscribe.
5.4 Cancellation Confirmation
You will receive a confirmation email when your cancellation is processed. If you do not receive confirmation within 24 hours of requesting cancellation, contact us immediately at billing@cryptostate.io to avoid unintended charges.
6. Refund Policy
Summary
- ✓ 7-day full refund for new subscribers (first payment only)
- ✓ Pro-rated refund if we discontinue the platform
- ✗ No refund for renewal charges after the 7-day window
- ✗ No refund for transaction fees after execution
6.1 New Subscriber Refund Window
If you are a new Pro subscriber and are not satisfied with the platform, you may request a full refund of your first payment within 7 days of your initial subscription date. To request a refund, email billing@cryptostate.io with your account email and the reason for your request.
Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days and returned to the original payment method.
6.2 Renewals
Renewal charges are generally non-refundable. If you forget to cancel before a renewal date, we may consider a courtesy refund on a case-by-case basis if requested within 48 hours of the charge and you have not used Pro features during the renewed period. This is at CryptoState's sole discretion and is not a guaranteed right.
6.3 Service Interruptions
If the platform experiences significant, sustained downtime (more than 72 consecutive hours) during a billing period due to CryptoState's failure, you may be eligible for a pro-rated credit for the affected period. Credits will be applied to your next billing cycle. Contact support@cryptostate.io to request a credit.
6.4 Platform Discontinuation
If CryptoState discontinues the Pro plan or the platform entirely, we will provide at least 30 days' notice and issue pro-rated refunds for any prepaid subscription period beyond the notice date.
6.5 Transaction Fees
Platform transaction fees (1%) are non-refundable once a transaction has been executed on-chain. This applies regardless of whether the underlying real estate transaction ultimately closes.
6.6 Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your card issuer without first contacting us to resolve the issue, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution and to dispute the chargeback. We encourage you to contact us first — we will work with you to resolve legitimate billing concerns promptly.
7. Account Suspension and Termination
7.1 Suspension for Violations
CryptoState reserves the right to suspend or terminate your subscription and account if you violate our Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, misuse the platform, or fail to pay amounts owed. In cases of violation, refunds will not be issued.
7.2 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time. Terminating your account also cancels your subscription. Please cancel your subscription before deleting your account to ensure you receive any applicable pro-rated refunds or complete your current billing period.
7.3 Effect on Data
Upon account termination, your listings will be removed from the platform. Your data will be retained for the minimum period required by law and then deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to Plans, Pricing, and This Policy
8.1 Pricing Changes
CryptoState may change Pro subscription pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any price increase via email to your registered address and/or a notice on the platform. Price changes will apply to your next billing cycle following the notice period — they will not apply mid-cycle.
If you do not agree to a price change, you must cancel your subscription before the new pricing takes effect. Continued use of the Pro plan after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
8.2 Plan Feature Changes
We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features from any plan at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant feature removals from paid plans. Minor changes, additions, or improvements do not require notice.
8.3 Policy Changes
We may update this Subscription Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email and/or notice on the platform. The updated policy will be effective on the date stated. Your continued subscription after that date constitutes acceptance.
9. Taxes
Subscription prices shown are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for all taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities in connection with your subscription, excluding taxes based on CryptoState's net income. Where CryptoState is required to collect taxes, they will be added to the subscription charge and shown at checkout.
